Yanick is a Rheingauer through and through. After leaving school, he completed his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant and joined the company in February 2017, initially as a team assistant in the Export Sales Department. But after some time, he wanted to develop further. At Balthasar Ress, we value that very much and also want to keep learning ourselves. For this reason, we offer committed people like Yanick various opportunities to make this happen. For example, Yanick went part-time and completed his studies while working. "Here, everyone gets the opportunity to develop and take on new challenges if that's what you're striving for," he says, adding that the freedom of initiative and team spirit in particular spur him on every day.
Having completed his studies, he is now responsible for managing the warehouse and the ordering process as well as the IT infrastructure at Balthasar Ress. With constantly new challenges, he is able to turn his inventiveness into action and grow with his tasks. He likes to compare this innovative way of thinking to the world of wine. "Innovation is like must that begins to ferment over time. An idea also develops little by little until - with a lot of dedication and patience - something very special comes out of it."
Yannick grew up and is firmly rooted in the Rheingau region and prefers to spend his free time in the fresh air. For example, he likes to spend his weekends playing soccer in the club or volunteering in the volunteer fire department. His personal fine moment is the completion of a successful grape harvest on the island of Sylt. He likes to celebrate this with a glass of our Schloss Reichartshausen Riesling Kabinett Monopole.
