Markus was born in Rheinhessen and grew up on a wine estate. It was always clear to him that he wanted to work in the wine industry. “I had no other interest than wine and everything that goes with it!” he explains with a smile.
Markus is an authorized signatory and our operations and sales manager. He is responsible for production and national as well as international sales. He is mainly dedicated to further increasing the quality of our products, optimizing operations and acquiring new customers - as a strategist, this is easy for him.
But he can also do other things... To switch off from his working life, he likes to swim a few laps in the swimming pool or go for a spin on his mountain bike. In the evenings, he likes to meet with friends in one of the numerous Rheingau wine taverns. Over a good glass of wine and stimulating conversation, he can really unwind. "The selection is huge, but a Rüdesheimer Rottland Riesling has never disappointed," he explains of his favorite wine.
The graduate engineer in viticulture and oenology has already been able to demonstrate his skills at various renowned wineries throughout Germany. His expert knowledge of the wine markets coupled with his experience as a Operations Manager makes him so valuable to us.
