Dominic Nebel has been actively supporting the Balthasar Ress Sales Team since March 1st, 2021. Dominic is our sommelier and can introduce you to the world of wine and its various facets. He is also the right contact person for questions concerning wine accompaniment to meals or the right occasions. Furthermore, Dominic manages all matters concerning the Tasting Room in Hattenheim, the wineBANK Rheingau and our Onlineshop.
Dominic was already enthusiastic about working in a winery as an apprentice. With the jump to Balthasar Ress, he can now also follow this passion: "BR has so many different facets that it probably never gets boring here."
He originally comes from the classic star and scene gastronomy, where he worked in managerial positions at Schloss Reinhartshausen, Nassauer Hof, and Martino Kitchen, among others. As a trained sommelier, restaurant professional and hotel specialist, being a host is simply in Dominic's blood. For him, as for Balthasar Ress, this means that customers are also guests. Service and support are always the top priority for him as the host.
"Riesling is my passion," which is why Dominic counts two Balthasar Ress wines among his personal favorites. Not only the Rüdesheimer Riesling trocken, but also the Hattenheim Wisselbrunnen Riesling GG trocken goes into his glass: "Sharing my vinophile way of life with people is the best job in the world for me."
