Four times success at the Vinum Riesling Champion 2024
We are delighted to have won three silver medals for our Hattenheim Schützenhaus Riesling Kabinett feinherb 2023, the Hallgartener Hendelberg Riesling trocken 2023 and the Rüdesheimer Riesling trocken 2023, and one gold medal for our Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Riesling trocken 2023 at the Vinum Riesling Champion 2024.
Tasting notes:
Hattenheimer Schützenhaus Riesling Kabinett feinherb 2023: Pale straw yellow with green reflections. Gooseberry notes on the nose, bright fruit and light flowers. Juicy and balanced on the palate, fine balance of sweetness and zesty acidity. Fine herbal spice underlines the fruity notes. Good finish.
Hallgartener Hendelberg Riesling dry 2023: Citrus yellow. Beautiful spontaneous drinker, slight reduction with yellow fruit. Slight yeasty notes, acidity well integrated, fine citrus notes. Light yoghurt note at the end, acidity drops off, becomes spongy and indifferent.
Rüdesheim Riesling dry 2023: Bread crust, almond paste, reduction, green tea. Candied lemon peel. Smoky on the palate, with acidity development, tension and phenolics. A very idiosyncratic interpretation of a Riesling.
Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg Riesling dry 2023: pale golden yellow, citrusy on the nose, ripe dark stone fruit, blackcurrant, which can also be found on the palate, with balsamic notes, mint, lemon balm, complex and with potential, very classic.
