Newest member of the BR team: Dominic Nebel

Since 01.03.2021 Dominic Nebel actively supports the Balthasar Ress team. Dominic is our sommelier and can now introduce you to the world of wine and its various facets. He is also the right contact person for questions concerning wine accompaniment to meals or the right occasions. Furthermore, Dominic manages all matters concerning the Vinothek Hattenheim, the Rheingauer wineBANK, the BR-Onlineshop and the BR Wine Club.

Dominic was already enthusiastic about working in the winery as an apprentice. With the jump to Balthasar Ress, he can now also follow this passion: "BR has so many different facets that it probably never gets boring here."

He originally comes from the classic star and scene gastronomy, where he worked in managerial positions at Schloss Reinhartshausen, Nassauer Hof, and Martino Kitchen, among others. As a trained sommelier, restaurant specialist and hotel specialist, being a host is simply in Dominic's blood. For him, as for Balthasar Ress, this means that customers are also guests. Service and support always come first for him as a host.

"Riesling is my passion," which is why Dominic counts two Balthasar Ress wines among his personal favorites. Not only the Rüdesheimer Riesling trocken, but also the Hattenheim Wisselbrunnen Riesling GG trocken goes into his glass: "Sharing my vinophile lifestyle with people is the most beautiful job in the world for me.
