Christian Ress donates further funds to support young musicians
Once again, Christian Ress, owner and managing director of the Balthasar Ress Winery in Hattenheim, donates to the "Zukunft Klassik e.V." association, an initiative of the Rheingau Music Festival
Today, Christian Ress symbolically presented Markus Treier, chairman of the charitable association Zukunft Klassik e.V., with the donation check for 6,263.00 euros. The donation was generated by the sale of the Balthasar Ress >>RHEINGAU HELD<< (2021 vintage), a classic dry Rheingau Riesling, from whose sales €1 net per bottle will now subsequently benefit Zukunft Klassik.
The association specifically supports young aspiring artists whose musical careers are still in their infancy and helps them to realize and finance performances. By supporting the association, therefore, the classical music scene and thus valuable cultural assets are also significantly supported. Among the >>RHEINGAU HELD<< bottles sold, there were 1900 bottles that were provided with Ukraine labels as part of a special edition, the amount of which was donated to the "Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine" to support musically talented children, teenagers and young musicians who have lost their homes, instruments and family income due to the war.
For the first time the project >>RHEINGAU HELD<< was initiated in June 2021. The catchy name of the wine does not address the wine itself, but its buyer, whose "heroic deed" is considered with the associated donation when buying one or more bottles of >>RHEINGAU HELD<<. Markus Treier explains: "Young musical talents in particular have suffered severe losses in recent years and are in need of special support. This is precisely where our association Zukunft Klassik e.V. comes in, creating regular performance opportunities for young musicians in cooperation with concert promoters. This is help that goes directly to where it is needed."
The close relationship between Balthasar Ress and the Rheingau Music Festival goes back decades of friendship between festival founder Michael Herrmann and Stefan Ress, co-owner of the Balthasar Ress winery. The managing directors of the Rheingau Music Festival, Michael Herrmann and Count Marsilius von Ingelheim, and Christian Ress, managing director and co-owner of the Balthasar Ress Winery, remain committed to further cultivating this bond. There will also be another >>RHEINGAU HELD<< edition of the soon-to-be-released 2022 vintage to raise further funds for the "Zukunft Klassik e. V." association.
